"Noreen" is an immersive family photo album experience anchored to a real photograph. The piece reflects on the life of my grandmother Noreen Williamson using her own words. The project exists as an Augmented Reality application written in Swift for iOS devices and emerged from an exploration of using AR to present an archive.
When using the application a wall mounted photograph triggers the application to play audio memories and take the user on an AR journey through Noreen's life. Users can explore a collection of audio recordings, photographs, and 8mm film scans placed around a photogrammetry model of her living room.
