Pixels Project: All Hail The Dodeca
Over the last couple of weeks I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Magdalena Claro on my first project for Intro to Computational Media. The goal for this project was to manipulate images or video to create a one minute long experience of an alternate visual reality.
Already Mai and I have been working together in our Physical Computing course to create an interface out of a dodecahedron shaped enclosure. The rotational movement of the device is output over serial into P5.js and mapped to the movement of a matching 3D model being rendered in the browser.
From here we had the idea to tie our one minute visual experience to an audio track by Lucky Dragons from the Free Music Archive.
Our final pixel project works without the Dodeca connected (though it is much more fun with it) and can be accessed at this link.
